Privacy Policy
Village for Kids is an independently operated activity-discovery project. We collect only what is needed to operate and improve the service.
Activity information
Activity listings come from recreation-provider catalogs. They describe programs, schedules, locations, prices, availability, and registration links. We do not collect participant, enrollment, cart, or account information from those providers.
Feedback you send
If you use the feedback form, we store the feedback type, your message, the page you were viewing, the submission time, and an email address only if you provide one. Feedback is not publicly readable. Please do not send children’s names, health information, or other sensitive personal information.
Accounts and subscriptions
When you create an account, we collect your email address, account identifier, and authentication information to sign you in and manage your account. For paid alerts, we store billing customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, and entitlement dates to manage access and billing. Stripe processes payment details; we do not store full payment-card numbers.
SMS registration alerts
Village for Kids collects your email address and the registration openings you choose to watch. A mobile number and SMS consent are optional and are collected only if you choose text-message delivery. We also record phone-verification status, consent and opt-out status, and alert delivery records to send requested alerts, prevent duplicates, troubleshoot delivery, and honor opt-outs. Recorded consent, a verified phone number, and an active subscription are required only for SMS delivery; web notifications do not require a phone number.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Mobile information and SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, transferred, or shared with third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent applies only to Village for Kids and cannot be transferred to another sender. Providers that operate our database, authentication, and SMS delivery may process the information needed to provide those services on our behalf, solely for those service purposes.
Message frequency varies based on the registration alerts you select. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS alerts. For help, use our contact form. See our SMS Terms for details.
Web push notifications
Paid subscribers may optionally enable browser notifications on individual devices. When enabled, we store the browser-generated push endpoint and encryption keys needed to deliver requested alerts, along with delivery status and troubleshooting information. These identifiers are specific to a browser installation and are not used for advertising. You can disable notifications from your account on that device or through its browser or operating-system settings.
Technical information
Our hosting and infrastructure provider, Vercel, may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, approximate region, referrer, device type, and timestamps to deliver, protect, measure, and improve the service. We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure real-world site performance. These tools do not use advertising cookies, build cross-site advertising profiles, or provide us with information intended to identify individual visitors.
Retention and sharing
We retain account, billing, feedback, and alert records only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, respond to requests, maintain consent and opt-out records, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. Service providers, including Vercel for hosting and site measurement, Supabase for authentication and database services, Stripe for payments, and Twilio for SMS delivery when enabled, may process information on our behalf to perform those functions. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to protect the service. These disclosures do not permit sharing SMS opt-in data or personal information for third-party marketing.
Your choices
You may omit your email address when submitting feedback. You can manage your alert selections and saved phone number in your account. To ask about, correct, or request deletion of your account information or feedback, use the contact form and include enough context for us to identify the records. We may retain records needed to honor an SMS opt-out or meet legal obligations.
Changes and contact
We may update this notice as the service changes. The updated date above will show the latest revision. Questions can be sent through the contact and feedback page.
